Working primarily as a figurative painter, Nicole explores the challenge of women to be seen while hidden, heard while silenced, and the boundaries both broken and preserved, between which they navigate. 

She earned a BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design with a degree in sculpture. Her early focus on metal and three-dimensional form gave expression to an ongoing inquiry into the channeling and shifting of energy.

While her creative practice takes many forms, painting remains her most personal and instinctive means of expression.

She currently resides in New York where she has a private studio practice.
